Holy Roman Empire
The Dark Ages saw the collapse of the Roman Empire as a whole. From it’s ashes rose the Holy Roman Empire, headed by the Papacy of christianity. At it’s height, the Holy Roman Empire stretched from all of Italy, to the border of Francen and over until it reached the Scarred Cities. Following a poorly fought battle between seperatists and Grecian forces, the Holy Roman Empire eventually last the southern part of Italy, from Naples on down. Today, this country is a land of beauty, many wonderful works of art and inspirations adorn it’s cities, drawing crowds from all over the world to see it. The Holy Roman Empire boasts a very strong military, augmented by powerful clerics and priests. The Southern border with Naples and thus Greecia is one of the most militarized zones in the entire world, each side fearing an attack the other.
The Holy Roman Empire is led by the christian church, the current leader is Pope Maleficius II.
Religious Status – Almost entirely christian. Non-christians are generally regarded with contempt and snobbery, and followers of the Old Greek Gods are hated and feared.
